Why Should You Wear Ski Socks?

One of the most important items of clothing for a skier is their ski socks; choosing the right pair of ski socks can determine the level of warmth and comfort which you experience on the slopes.

But why exactly are your ski socks so important?  You would be forgiven if you thought that ski socks were simply a thick pair of standard socks.  However, a good quality pair of ski socks can actually help to improve your performance when skiing down the snowy hills.

Ski socks are designed to protect your feet, from both the soreness you may experience when exerting yourself through skiing in addition to the protection you need from the treacherous climate and conditions.

Remember only to wear one pair of socks, however; it may be a natural consideration to wear two pairs of socks, or more, to protect from the cold although the friction between the pairs of socks may cause additional soreness for your feet, or even blistering.
